At the end of the day, very cloudy with a few scattered showers (flakes around 1000m altitude). Dry this evening, but cloudy skies, then a partly clear night. Cool temperatures.
Saturday, a few sunny spells in the early hours, otherwise very cloudy skies. Frequent showers spreading during the afternoon and persisting into the evening and night. Seasonal temperatures and snowfall limits rising from 1200 to 2000m altitude, staying longer at around 1500m in central Valais and even 1000m in the Upper Valais.
Temperatures forecast for the Rhône plain: lows -1 to 2°C, highs 4 to 7°C. At stations around 1500m: lows -2 to 0°, highs 1 to 3°. On the summits: -2/1° at 2000m, -8/-4° at 3000m. Isotherm of 0°: 2100m.
Light and variable winds on the plains and in the valleys, strong southwesterly in the high mountains. Some foehn flurries in places.

Temperatures mild for the season, with highs of 8 to 10 degrees in the lowlands and 5 to 7 degrees around 1500m, and snowfall limits between 2000 and 2300m altitude. Heavy rainfall up to the mid-mountains, with rainfall totals sometimes substantial.
